N'ombra de vin

After our trip to the Micam fair in Milano I think I should share following "place to be" with you: n'ombra de vin (in brera area)!!
It is a cosy wine bar downstairs in a cave with a unique atmosphere; there is a wide range of wines you can choose of (just a glass or bottle of wine), champagne/spumanti, cold drinks,...
If you feel a bit hungry you can choose to eat something there (really taste full food).

In the center of the cave you have a long table where you will sit next to other people, on the side you have tables where you can sit more private.
You will meet tourists as well as a lot of local people.
In my opinion a place you really have to visit.

Italy: loving it!!!!

In Milano preparing for Micam, loving it!!

Super Praio

Like I said we noticed at White & Super that designers are searching to use new fabrics.

I am a absolutely fascinated by the philosophy and products of PRAIO.
They design hand made casual chic & vintage chino's and denim washed trousers out of
eco friendly jersey & fleece treated bio cotton – super comfortable – finally comfort & fashion go hand in hand.

Their philosophy is:
‘For an apparel which looks the past watching the future.’
‘For an avant-garde casual-chic generation where ages & genders
disappear and human beings & values are at the top.’

The collection exists out of  hand made pants and jackets made out of jersey.
Do you like a lot of colours?  Or are you more a classic type?
No problem, for both choices you are on the right address by Praio.  You can choose for heavy colours like yellow, red, electric blue and green but also for more classic colours like dark blue, brown,....you can count on Praio.
The summerjersey has a feeling with a light touch of silk, it is really comfy to wear.
From 2 meter you can't even see that it is jersey !!

I saw the brand already at 2 shops around the world in the window:

I want to introduce you also JJ; the patented Jersey Jeans!
Pants made of jersey and finished with the techniques of denim. Pretty cool he?

Believe in the future with Praio, there are only colours at the horizon...

Embrace neoprene

Last weekend we went to Milano for the fashion trade shows White & Super.
One thing we noticed: designers are searching to use new materials in fashion.
The appearance of neoprene in the fashion industry is undeniable.

My try out of the Leghila collection

Witch takes me to a very interesting find...the neoprene bags made by the Italian brand Leghila.
Neoprene is the material used for diving suits, this makes them actually washable.  So bye bye dirty bags.
They represent the perfect mix between classic models and modern elegance.
Colourful leightweight bags which can add a blast of fresh air to your everyday look (you can choose out of 100 bi-colors).

Many fashion magazines call Leghila a must-have fashion accessory and the bags are featured in magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, Glamour,...

From Luisa via Roma to Harvey Nicols, from New York to Singapore, Leghila is a must-have bag worldwide.

Which model do you prefer?

New products in my makeup bag

Today I bought some new beauty products. They are always packed in nice boxes and packaging what makes them irresistible.  You want to use them right away.

The first product is Hydramax + Active gel creme from Chanel.  I use it every day, it has a really nice texture and moisturizes your skin without making it feel sticky.

I also bought the mascara from Givenchy noir couture 4 in 1.  It promises to be a four-in-one mascara that creates intense volume, strong curl, infinite length, and complete lash care.
If I have to believe the reviews on the net it makes the promises come true. Let's hope so !!

The third product I bought and I was already using it in the past so I can write a review about this one: Christian Dior Waterproof Eyeliner.  This eyeliner  has a creamy texture, never smudges and stays all day long, the colour is intense it is easy to remove with make up remover.

Last one is the eyeshadow palette from Chanel n°41 Fascination with three blue shades and a complementary highlight.  You can wear them dry for a softer, more sophisticated look, or apply them wet for more impact and bringing out every facet of the colours.  I can not wait to try them.

Valentine's night out @ place to be in Antwerp (Cipriani Edegem)

On Valentine's night we went out to my favourite restaurant in Antwerp: Cipriani, located in Edegem.  If you like Italian food this is really the place to be!! If you visit Antwerp you have to have dinner there.

The owner of the place is an Italian, born in Bari,  he is really a phenomenon in Antwerp.  He already had 3 restaurants in Antwerp, that were a huge succes story!  This one is not inferior to the ones before, on the contrary.

It is situated in the old town hall of Edegem, an historic building in combination with a modern architecture.

The food is excellent and authentic Italian and the atmosphere is so good that you feel like you are on
holiday in Italy !

Sources of inspiration

I want to introduce a new item to my blog: my sources of inspiration.  Things and pictures who are my sources of inspiration for my outfits.

Make a statement

We know statement necklaces already for a while but now we saw them again on the runway:

Oscar de la Renta, Gucci, Badgley Mischka

Statement Necklaces aren’t a new trend, they have been around some time, now they make their comeback. With their bold style and bright colours, they aren’t called statement necklaces without a reason.

They add a pop of color to your outfit, I really like the heavy colours and the neon ones.  I think they are just perfect for spring/summer.

DIY: Valantine's flower pin

Valentine's day is almost there so I was searching for a special present for my boyfriend.

Did you already see the men's lapel flowers that add something special to men jackets?
At last summer edition of Pitti Uomo (fashion fair @ Florence) you spotted them a lot:

I decided to make it myself as a little extra gift on Valentine's day.

You need:
* a strip of fabric (I prefer flowers not to big)
* needle and thread
* scissors
* 2 buttons (one for the front inside the flower and one for the back)

Cut a strip of fabric, fold over one end and secure it with a stitch.
Flip it over and start a running stitch along the bottom of the strip of fabric.

When you've reached the end of your strip, pull the thread so the fabric bunches up.

Shape the fabric into a flower, secure all the layers by stitching through each and secure it on the back.
Cut the flower in the shape like you want it to be.

Next, stitch the button in the center.  After the button is secure, stitch on your button at the back to attach the flower on a jacket (you can also use a safety pin for the back.

Selfmade Valentine's flower pin as extra present.
